FAQs

UV DTF stickers are designed for long-term outdoor and permanent indoor applications. The UV-cured protective coating resists fading from direct sunlight, while the waterproof adhesive maintains bond strength through extreme temperature changes, rain, and snow. Restaurant glassware and drinkware applications typically last the lifetime of the item with regular dishwasher use, maintaining vibrant colors and full adhesion through hundreds of commercial wash cycles. Outdoor applications on vehicles, coolers, and equipment show excellent fade resistance even in harsh desert conditions with continuous sun exposure. UV DTF stickers significantly outlast traditional vinyl stickers and standard decals in both indoor and outdoor environments.

For maximum durability and longevity, we recommend hand washing items with UV DTF stickers using mild dish soap and warm water. While UV DTF stickers are designed to be top-rack dishwasher safe and can withstand regular dishwasher cycles, hand washing helps preserve the vibrant colors and adhesive bond longer. If you choose to use a dishwasher, place items on the top rack, use gentle cycles, and avoid high-heat drying settings. The waterproof coating provides excellent moisture resistance and prevents edge peeling common with vinyl stickers. Many commercial establishments successfully maintain UV DTF branded glassware by following proper care guidelines—avoiding extreme heat, harsh detergents, and abrasive scrubbing.</p>

UV DTF stickers bond permanently to any hard, non-porous surface including glass (tumblers, bottles, windows), metal (aluminum, stainless steel, powder-coated finishes), hard plastics (phone cases, coolers, containers), ceramic (mugs, plates, tiles), sealed/painted wood, and acrylic. They are not recommended for fabric, unsealed raw wood, silicone, or highly textured/porous surfaces where the adhesive cannot make complete contact. For best results, surfaces should be smooth, clean, and dry before application.

Yes, UV DTF stickers conform beautifully to mild curves like tumblers, water bottles, rounded phone cases, and curved glassware. The flexible film material stretches slightly during application to wrap around gentle contours without wrinkling or air bubbles. For extreme curves, sharp bends, or complex 3D shapes, we recommend ordering smaller individual stickers rather than large single pieces, or requesting custom pre-cut designs engineered to accommodate the specific curve pattern of your product.

UV DTF stickers are designed for permanent application and create a very strong bond. Removal is possible but requires effort and may leave adhesive residue requiring solvent cleaning (Goo Gone, rubbing alcohol, or adhesive remover). To remove: heat the sticker with a hair dryer or heat gun for 30-60 seconds to soften the adhesive, then peel slowly at a low angle. For temporary applications or surfaces where you may want to change designs frequently, consider using removable vinyl stickers instead of UV DTF.

Regular DTF transfers are designed for fabric (t-shirts, hoodies, bags) and require heat pressing at 300-320°F to bond to textiles. UV DTF stickers are designed for hard surfaces (glass, metal, plastic) and apply cold using a simple peel-and-stick method—no heat press equipment needed. They're completely different products serving different markets: DTF transfers for apparel decoration, UV DTF stickers for surface decoration. You cannot use regular DTF on hard surfaces, and UV DTF doesn't work on fabric.

Applying UV DTF stickers is simple with proper technique. First, clean the surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl) and allow to dry completely—this step is critical for maximum adhesion. Peel the UV DTF sticker carefully from the backing paper. Position the sticker precisely on your surface (the adhesive bonds strongly on contact, so repositioning is difficult). Press firmly from the center outward using your fingers or a squeegee, removing all air bubbles. Apply consistent pressure for 10-15 seconds. Wait 24 hours before washing or heavy use for the adhesive to reach maximum bond strength.

UV DTF stickers feature UV-resistant inks and a protective coating specifically engineered to prevent fading for years of continuous outdoor sun exposure. Our desert durability testing in California (direct sunlight in extreme conditions) showed zero color degradation or fading. The UV-cured top layer blocks harmful UV rays from reaching the color ink layers beneath, similar to how sunscreen protects your skin. This makes UV DTF stickers ideal for outdoor applications like vehicle decals, outdoor signage, coolers, and equipment that sits in direct sun.

We accept PNG files with transparent backgrounds (preferred), PDF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), SVG, EPS, and high-resolution JPG files. For best print quality, provide artwork at actual size with 300 DPI resolution. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) produce the sharpest results since they scale without quality loss.

Yes! UV DTF stickers are precision-cut to your exact design shape with no background or border. Unlike traditional stickers that include a background square, UV DTF transfers are contour-cut so you peel away only the design itself—just like a temporary tattoo. If your logo is a circle, you get a circle. If it's an intricate shape with fine details, we cut around every curve and corner precisely.

The sticker comes on a clear transfer sheet. Simply peel your design from the transfer sheet and apply it to your surface—no background, no border, just your artwork. This creates a clean, professional look where the design appears printed directly onto the surface rather than sitting on a sticker background. There's no additional charge for custom shapes—simple circles cost the same as complex multi-colored logos with intricate details.

We have absolutely no minimum order quantity.

Order a single 2x2 inch sticker or 1,000 stickers—we'll produce your order either way.

This flexibility makes UV DTF perfect for testing designs, creating samples, or small businesses just starting out. Most customers begin with small test orders (5-10 stickers) to verify quality and sizing before placing larger production runs.

For the most cost-effective pricing, consider using our gang sheet builder to fit multiple designs on a single 11x12 inch sheet, saving 30-40% compared to individual piece pricing.

UV DTF stickers have a raised 3D thickness of approximately 0.3mm (about the thickness of 3 sheets of paper stacked together). This dimensional quality creates the distinctive tactile "premium" feel that sets UV DTF apart from flat vinyl stickers. You can actually feel the texture when you run your finger across the design. The raised profile catches light differently than flat stickers, creating subtle shadows and depth that enhance visual appeal. This thickness also contributes to durability—the thicker film resists scratching and wear better than ultra-thin vinyl alternatives.
